A full day PAT testing training course will teach you about the effective use of health and safety; and the theory and practical aspects of testing portable electrical appliances safely.

Our PAT Training Courses include practical sessions where you can inspect and PAT Test a variety of portable electrical appliances; including everyday office and work objects like power tools, computers and IEC leads.

A one-day practical training workshop for colleagues who wish to carry out portable appliance testing (PAT) within their business or organisation. Delegates will be shown how to test a wide range of appliances commonly found in their working environment and how to find expert advice if an item fails.

The workshop will look at a variety of appropriate inspection and test procedures as well as dealing with common faults and defects. You'll get hands-on experience of pat testing a variety of common appliances using a range of pat testing equipment from various manufacturers. If you have already purchased a pat tester, we can work with you on the course to ensure that you can get the best from it. Alternatively we can give you unbiased advice on the best machines to buy.

An in-house course is perfect if you have more than 4 people to train - we can train up to 12 people if you have that many staff who want to learn. All we ask of you is a large comfortable room to carry out the training; It needs to be quite large with lots of tables for the practical work. If you don't have a dedicated training room we will be happy to advise you further.

This is the standard programme - it can be amended to suit your requirements if you prefer.

Our one-day certificated PAT testing training course is designed to give you the necessary skill, experience and knowledge to carry out Portable Appliance Testing - either in your own workplace, or as a service to other people. You will receive a certificate at the end of the course, and you will be able to carry out PAT testing after completing the course - you do not need to be a qualified electrician - we start at the beginning. All you need is a willingness to learn, and some common sense!

Our courses are not lectures, but interactive training events designed to give YOU the essential information, experience and knowledge to carry out PAT testing.
